The Difference What makes Fairly Reliable Bob's different? The Sales Staff We have a unique approach to the automotive industry. Our salespeople earn the same regardless of the selling price of the vehicle. All commissions are set. No pressure is applied to the customer to pay more so that our salespeople earn more. So the motivation is to treat the customer right so that they will continue to get their cars from us and refer new business as well. The Service Most dealerships have a service department that is a major profit center. Fairly Reliable Bob's is a "sales driven" store. Our service department exists to help our customers after the sale. We have reduced our advertising budget and redirected that money back into our service department. This way we can run a not-for-profit service department. This service is for our customers only! The customer pays our wholesale cost for parts. There is no mark up! By keeping our customers satisfied before and after the sale, we hope they will refer current and new business. We like that and our customers love knowing they can say they have a good store to send people to. The Inspection Our vehicles go through a thorough inspection process which includes the following:
Ø This is available upon request.
Ø Fluids are checked and changed by an outside independent vendor if needed. This vendor also performs a multi-point inspection of the vehicle. Problems found are either fixed or the vehicle isn't offered for sale. Ø If tire tread depth is low, most models receive new tires. The investing process does not stop there. Ø If brakes are less than 25% the pads are replaced. Ø All safety equipment is checked including air bags and seat belts. Ø Once the cars are given the O.K. by our reconditioning department they are professionally detailed. Ø Only then is our inventory offered for sale.
